What Are You Carrying Today?
Creative Helping Hands grew from a journey of rediscovering hope, identity, and creativity. Each artwork and reflection is a small seed—an invitation to pause, notice what God may be doing, and turn toward Jesus.
How are you feeling today?
Choose the question that speaks to you today. Read slowly. Notice what stirs in your heart. Allow the story, artwork, or Scripture to become an invitation. You may arrive looking for an answer and discover instead that God is planting a seed.

From Worry to Song: Finding Our Branch
Last year, I painted three birds sitting beneath a tree, each caught up in its own world of worries. Today, I imagine them somewhere else. What if the worries that keep us beneath the tree today could become the song we sing from its branches tomorrow?

What If Your Financial Struggle Is Teaching You Something More Valuable Than Money?
Recently, a missionary friend told me about a woman who had begun attending our church. Another woman had reacted negatively to her decision, claiming that our church was well funded and motivated by profit.
I understood where this perception might have come from. During the war, large amounts of humanitarian aid flowed through churches, leaving behind complicated concerns and lasting consequences in the post-war period.

What If Your Walls Could Speak Hope?
Have you ever noticed how the atmosphere of a room can influence the way you feel?
The images and words surrounding us can quietly shape our thoughts. A meaningful message on a wall may remind us to pause when life feels hurried, offer encouragement during a difficult season, or help us turn our attention toward Jesus.

Could You Carry Hope to Someone Who Feels Forgotten?
What if you could step into a painting—not simply to observe it, but to pause, reflect, and listen?
I invite you to enter the world of Come into the Sea, a place shaped by waiting, uncertainty, and the quiet discovery of hope. Take a moment to notice the figures in the water, the lifesaver, and the light reaching into the darkness. Perhaps something in this scene reflects a season you have experienced—or someone God is inviting you to notice.

Can Changing the Way You Think Help Your Heart Heal?
During one of my recent visits, I was taken aback when the man, who has a Muslim background, cited a scripture. I assume he wanted to see if my journey might benefit him, so he decided to give it a try. I'm unsure if he'll keep exploring, but I do know that everyone reaches moments in life when we need to rethink our perceptions for change to happen.

What If Hope Can Grow Where No One Expects It?
Recently, a child looked at my latest painting with contempt and asked, “What is this? Where have you ever seen a dandelion growing inside a shell?” Her reaction was almost identical to a comment a friend had made only a few days earlier. Surprisingly, both responses reflected the very message I was trying to portray: growth and transformation often appear in the most unlikely people and places. If you have recently been dismissed, judged, or treated with contempt, today’s ar

What If Fear Is Keeping You in the Shallow End? - Strategies for Facing Fears
When I was six, my father taught me to swim. As we were playing, he suddenly tossed me into the deep water and turned his back, walking away. I panicked and shouted at him while frantically swimming toward the shallower area of the beach. When I challenged him about not informing me of his unconventional teaching approach, he replied, "I was confident you could manage it. If you're someone who's learning something new but feels fearful and keeps asking, "What if...," today's

Could God Be Leading You From Bitterness Into Refreshment?
Children’s stories often contain hidden morals that help young listeners understand difficult ideas. Jesus also used stories and familiar images to communicate truths that people might otherwise have struggled to grasp. He spoke about seeds, sheep, vineyards, bread, water, and family relationships—ordinary things that revealed deeper spiritual realities.
If you are facing emotional pain, overwhelming fear, or growing bitterness, an ancient story from Exodus may offer ...

What If the Noise Around You Is Revealing the Noise Within?
My family home stands on the main street of a small town, close to the railway station. We became so accustomed to the constant sound of traffic and passing trains that we barely noticed it. Only when guests stayed with us and mentioned that the noise had kept them awake did we become aware of it again.
