Finding Grace and Peace in the Best and Worst Days of Life and Dreaming with God

Not long ago, someone inquired about the best and worst days of my life up to now. I took a moment to think and was surprised by my responses. As you go through today's blog post, you might find your answers surprising as well. If you're seeking motivation, this post is intended for you.

When responding to a speaker's question, I initially thought of a random phone call as the worst day of my life. Later, when I repeated the exercise, 2-3 other disappointing phone conversations also came to mind. While each event was painful, I couldn't understand why my mind chose phone conversations as my worst days. After reflecting, I realized these events shattered some dreams, leaving behind lasting disappointments.

The lecture's theme addressed the concept of dreaming with God, while also prompting the audience to confront lost dreams. This approach enabled me to release some past disappointments and begin dreaming with God once more. I hope this blog post inspires you to do the same.

Referring to unfortunate events in the Bible, we recall the story of when David and his army came back home to find that, during their absence in battle, the enemy had attacked, capturing their families and looting their possessions. Despite this, David did not succumb to fear or disappointment. Instead, he found strength in the Lord and sought guidance on what to do. Following the Lord's instructions, David was able to recover all the families and possessions.

David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?”

“Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue. - 1 Samuel 30:8

Today, I invite you to strengthen yourself in the Lord and to begin dreaming with God again by gaining the ability to receive guidance during prayer. Occasionally, answers to prayers manifest as ways we can collaborate with God to either receive desired outcomes or to be transformed through present difficulties. To receive healing today and start collaborating with God in His plans to bring you prosperity, consider doing the following:

Speaking of finding grace and peace in the best and worst days of life and starting to dream with God, you can do the same thing I did. You can also reflect on your best and worst days in life and discuss them with God. When you journal or communicate openly with God from your heart, invite Jesus to be present in both your best and worst moments. Entrust both good and bad aspects of your past to Him and consider that God is known as a Father of compassion and a God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3). Reflect on this aspect of God's character, seeking His compassion as you process today's pain and find comfort from past difficulties that crashed some dreams.

Each challenging season is meant to either draw us closer to or distance us from God. One of the ways to grow nearer to Him is by understanding His nature as shown in the scriptures. By reflecting on the revelation of God as depicted in the Scriptures, we open ourselves to receive grace for new experiences of His loving kindness. Today, you are encouraged to reflect on the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, as described in 2 Corinthians 1:3.

During the healing journey, your dissatisfaction will transform into hope, and falsehoods will be replaced by truth, bringing a renewed sense of freedom into your life. You will make room for love, allowing it to create new opportunities. This process will also open new doors for you to start dreaming with God once more!

Finally, I want to share with you my latest poem, which I was inspired to write on one of my prayer walks:

Message in a bottle

I have a message to share.

This piece is a poem.

It is written for broken hearts.

Here it starts:

Jesus loves you.

He sees your scars.

If you could just learn to trust him,

He would begin to heal your heart.

You might feel unloved,

Shimmering in bitter thoughts.

If you allow Jesus to love you,

His pierced hands will comfort your soul.

You will be in perfect peace

If your thoughts remain focused on Him.

If you could just start to trust him,

You would begin to heal.

Now that we have come to the end of the poem,

The message of hope will travel on the seas.

It is in a transparent bottle,

Waiting for you to dream!
