Preparing for the Unexpected: Strategies to Tackle Future Disruptions in 2026

With new challenges expected in 2026, how can one get ready for unforeseen events that disrupt daily routines? Is it possible to prepare for the unexpected?

"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path" Psalm 119:105

Occasionally, during prayer, I gain insights into some forthcoming personal challenges. This allows me to prepare in advance through prayer and seek God's grace to align with the Father's plans and purposes for my personal life and ministry.

Recently, I faced the question of how to get ready for a new challenge that awaits me in 2026. Through prayer, I gained some inspiration on how to approach the issue, yet it left me pondering how I will manage all the intricacies of the challenge.

Typically, when confronted with an apparently impenetrable barrier, I feel prompted to retreat for a period of silence, offering my questions in prayer and awaiting the Lord's response.

As I awaited the latest reply to a prayer request, I felt inspired to begin composing a poem that seemed to be the Father’s answer to my questions:

I wish you could learn to trust me. 

All you need to do is to ask me: “How?”

After jotting down the start of a poem, I found myself reading Bible verses where various characters sought guidance from God. During this, the Lord spoke to my heart again: “I am going ahead of you to prepare the way.” This message provided the comfort and trust I needed, reassuring me that even though I don't know the specifics of handling upcoming challenges, both expected and unexpected, a path will be prepared for me to navigate through them.

I am aware of numerous Bible verses about the Father's guidance, provision, and care, but I needed to receive a personal message from Him regarding a particular challenge. This experience helped me strengthen my trust in Him with an obstacle that appears impossible to overcome.

Today, I want to share my recent personal journey with the Holy Spirit with you, as I sense a new wave of creative (possibly poetic) expression is emerging for some of you, the subscribers and readers of the Creative Helping Hands blog. Maybe my recent experience will inspire you to explore new, creative ways of receiving answers to your prayers as well.
