Today, I am inspired to share a poem I wrote more than a year ago. Inspiration for a poem came when was on my way to pick up a friend for a church service. It was a woman who has endured a great deal of suffering in life. Unable to write at that moment due to driving, I recorded a voice message so I wouldn't forget the poem. Later that day, I had a strong feeling that a series of poems were coming through that were not meant to be kept private. I sensed that there were words of comfort for grieving hearts, and that the poems needed to be shared. If your heart is heavy with sorrow, here is a poem for you:

"Weeping Woman"

A weeping woman is shedding her tears

She is crying out to Jesus:

“Will you wipe my tears?”

He kisses her cheeks and wipes the tears.

He tells her about the living water she can drink to satisfy her needs.

The water will  also comfort other weeping hearts.

She will become a well that irrigates barren lands.

A weeping woman keeps crying to her Lord:

“Jesus, will you comfort my barren soul?”

He tells her to quiet the cries of her heart,

So she can hear the beat of her Master’s heart.

Suddenly she can hear the tears and weeping of her King.

His heart is beating love beats for the lost sheep.

She can hear the sighs of His heart and realises that He is suffering with her until she can smile.

A weeping woman realises that love is embracing her pain.

Finally she is able to smile, once again.
