You who are wearing thin time, are you not aware of the little time you have?

Time is a gift. How you choose to use this gift is important. You could be wasting the time, killing it or time could be of the essence for you.  What happens when you wear thin the time you have been given as a gift? Is there a way to redeem the lost time?

When you say something is wearing thin, it means people are no longer amused or interested, and they are starting to get irritated because they have encountered it too often. In the same way, you can squander the precious time you were given in life by engaging in repetitive, unfulfilling daily activities, leading to a sense of dissatisfaction. After while, you lack a sense of true satisfaction and joy in the time that you have left in life.

A lifelong journey of various misalignments may have guided you along the common path that many choose (education, a successful career, marriage, and having children), but it also made you realize that despite achieving those initial life goals, a new phase of life lacks renewed meaning and purpose, leaving you feeling unhappy. Reflecting on the past, you recognize many missed opportunities and setbacks, pondering whether life would have been better with different choices and better use of time you were given.

Similarly, you may recognize some existing unequal yokes or one-sided relationships that are sapping your energy and stealing your happiness. If this sounds familiar, it might be that you have yet to discover what your heart truly desires—the unique design God created for you to live a fulfilled life centered around God-given meaning and purpose.

The positive aspect is that you've recognized you're on the wrong peak and need to begin making up for lost time. It's essential to rediscover your true self, understand who God intended you to be, and find a life purpose that will bring renewed meaning and joy. It's time to start ascending a different mountain.

Today, I invite you to reflect on the following Scripture: “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” As you contemplate this verse, consider asking the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas in your life where you have wasted time on unwise pursuits that have led you away from who God intended you to be. You can also seek His guidance to wisely use the time you have left. Begin a redemptive journey to reclaim lost time.

Poem: “Knock. Knock. Knock.”

“Oh you who are ill and laboring in pain.

I will come to see you in the hospital and address your shame.

You are making visits to the sick, but your efforts are in vain.

You think you can handle it, but you are lame.

I will cause your eyes to bleed while you sit beside someone else’s bed.

You will hear my knock. It will signal that I've come to alleviate your pain."
