“And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace. Just make sure you ask empowered by confident faith without doubting that you will receive. For the ambivalent person believes one minute and doubts the next. Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind. You’re up one minute and tossed down the next. When you are half-hearted and wavering it leaves you unstable. Can you really expect to receive anything from the Lord when you’re in that condition?” - James 1:5-8 TPT
At times, the Holy Spirit provides subtle impressions and insights through God’s creation. Today, as you walk in nature, make a conscious effort to notice your surroundings. Is there something in nature that captures your attention? What emotions arise as you observe a particular object or flower? What memories are stirred by these emotions?
While addressing heart issues and negative emotions that hinder the ability to receive wise insights and instructions, consider exploring the following questions to help clear your heart of distractions and negativity:
Do I need to forgive someone for something? What should I release?
Is there something that I am perceiving in a wrong way?
Ask Holy Spirit to reveal wrong heart motivations that He desires to change.
What desire is causing you hindrance in spiritual growth? (Let go of that desire and ask the Holy Spirit to replace it with a godly desire.)
In which area of life are you not practicing obedience?
Unlocking your voice: Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what He is inspiring you to create at this time that the enemy managed to stop you.
Has the Holy Spirit inspired you to share something you learned today with someone?
