In loving memory of...

Lois and John Stefan

After retiring from NASA (John) and teaching position in a school (Lois), Stefans decided to use all their personal resources to serve God by helping folks and churches in Sisak, Petrinja and Glina beginning in late ‘90’s. They served individuals and churches in Croatia for over two decades. Their loving helping hands blessed many people, including me. 

John and Lois registered Helping Hands Foundation in TX, USA. Through their foundation they provided valuable training  in  computer skills and teaching English as a second language. They had a generous heart that served and helped many people over a long period of time. Stefan’s put their faith in action by sharing love of Christ and serving individuals and churches.  John died last year, after a long illness. 

Judith O. Paine-Marshall, Founder and Director of the Hollis D. Marshall Scholarship Fund was instrumental in supporting my computer training in the US, which was helpful in developing computer skills curriculum. She remains my US mum. Thank you Judy!

When I moved to Tuzla, as a missionary, three of my friends (pastor of Tuzla church, John and Phyllies Harries) supported me in pioneering an educational serving project (teaching English as a second language in a local church). Recently we lost one member of our group. After a long illness, our dear friend, Phyllis died.

Everyone who knows pastor Zeljko, knows that he is a well of creative ideas, so he came up with a name for the pioneering project: Wave.

With pastor's help, Wave became a start up of many other serving projects in Bosnia. Authentically Bosnian project, Wave, keeps rippling to other countries.
