During this month, many are experiencing some frustration as they wait for changes to occur over a prolonged period. Before the promises of a new season are fulfilled, there are repeated instances of uncertainty. Various adjustments are being made, along with profound introspection.
It feels like waiting in a line for something new to happen, but the old settings and circumstances remain. Changes are about to take place in families, workplaces, churches, and various relationships… However, the changes will not be drastic.
Current time of waiting feels like being in a line to see a museum exhibit that a person has been visiting regularly. It is the same museum, but with new exhibits. Now people are waiting in a line to see what is displayed in a new section of the museum.
While waiting to see new things emerge, many feel frustrated since various shake-ups are taking place. There is some stirring of suppressed negative emotions, as people decide to test each other’s boundaries. In various ways, the limits of pioneers' character are being tested.
The purpose of experiencing challenges and testing boundaries is to correct character attitudes and establish proper alignments. Despite believing they handle interpersonal relationships well, many individuals have blind spots that hinder their personal growth. Some people are trapped in negative thinking patterns because they are unwilling to engage in deep self-reflection. True change must occur within the heart before it can manifest in external circumstances.
For some people, there will be a breaking of some old, wrong relationship alignments, while others will receive some correction and get tested to new limits of patience and endurance. Whether the breaking or enduring new limits takes place will depend on levels of current right alignments. Breaking is a mere opportunity to start building again, with some character adjustments. Deep heart reflections can help manage impatience in period of waiting. Both struggle and waiting are part of maturing process.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” - Romans 12:2
