How to Embrace Emotional Stability in Challenging Times

I saw you looking in disbelief and fear, confronted with the bad news. This fear made you anxious, which in turn impacted your close relationships. In a state of panic, you began to deal with the situation from a place of anxiety instead of inner peace. I also observed several people selling their old, worn-out shoes on the streets of your town. You were looking at the offered footwear, contemplating which pair to purchase.
Occasionally, when unexpected negative events occur, people are caught off guard by the sudden surprise. Sometimes they briefly pause in shock, performing seemingly pointless actions as they strive to keep their composure until they decide on the next move. Their next move is usually an attempt to learn from other people's experiences when they faced a similar situation.
When facing unexpected, bad news, rather than solely relying on the past experiences of others, the most effective approach is to seek guidance from God for the new challenges at hand. While reflecting on and learning from others' past experiences can be helpful, it is often akin, metaphorically speaking, to wearing old, worn-out shoes. Worn out shoes that other people sell cannot compare to purchasing new, perfectly fitting footwear tailored to new, personal, needs.
To prepare for the approaching shockwave, seek the Holy Spirit to help you walk in perfect peace and love, even amidst the upcoming fearful events. You can request that, even though some past structures may be shaken and collapse, you remain emotionally steady during these challenging times.
