The year 2025 is about learning to confront and manage traps. During life's journey, many unexpectedly find themselves ensnared in a cycle of lies and deceit designed to hinder personal progress. Numerous individuals encounter sudden failures in their plans, leading to a surge of all sorts of negative emotions robbing their joy. Individuals who feel trapped often find themselves repeating the same struggles, believing there's no way forward.
If you are one of those people, the truth is that you don’t need to fight harder. You need to fight smarter. Even though there are traps set for you this year, they can be easily removed by proclaiming the word of God, particularly verses that declare freedom from the enemy's snares. Psalms 25 and 91 are examples.
We should not concentrate too much on the plans of the enemy, but instead focus on the Holy Spirit's work in the life of a believer and the church. We are in a period of learning to engage in spiritual warfare from a state of rest, while also letting the Holy Spirit lead us into greater intimacy and surrender to Christ.
The Holy Spirit is teaching us to journey in deeper levels of trust in God. The enemy’s traps merely help us surrender to God when feeling stuck, and allow the Holy Spirit to minister freedom from a place of surrender to God in the midst of difficulties.
In 2025, as individuals navigate their life journey, there will be moments when, after avoiding numerous pitfalls, they may feel unsure about their future direction. It is a period for learning to place trust in God amidst feelings of insecurity, uncertainty, and a lack of personal control.
During those times, there will be various annoyances and frustrations as well. Challenges are a part of life's cycle, fostering a humble spirit, perseverance, and maturity. The approach to handling annoyances and frustrations is similar to dealing with traps. The transforming power of God is built up in a believer's life through reading, meditating on, praying, and proclaiming the Word of God.
In order to be intentional about leaving the traps the enemy planned to keep you stuck in this year, you can commit to including Psalm 25 in your daily Bible reading plan for the next three months. Gradually, the truth from God's Word will resonate in your heart, producing a deeper trust and surrender to God's plans and purposes for you this year, escaping the traps of the enemy in the process.
