Prayer is a two-way street. We share our hearts with Jesus, and in return, He shares His heart with us. Recently, in a place of prayer, I kept receiving the same insight, so I’ve finally decided to share it in this blog post. Some of the readers of my blog have a creative gift, but they struggle to voice their gift publicly. They keep asking Jesus: “How come she can do it, and I can’t?”
Inspiration can come from various sources, and for me, mostly it comes from a place of having an intimate relationship with Jesus. I make a deliberate effort to align (I am willing to be vulnerable and corrected) with my best friend, Jesus. From intimacy with Him, I’ve learned to “read” the languages the Holy Spirit most often communicates to me.
Having overcome numerous struggles with Jesus, I've received some gifts and inspiration for certain tasks. By crafting blog posts for those seeking to overcome their struggles through fostering their own closeness with Jesus, I am planting seeds that could flourish for other creatives. Creative Helping Hands blog emerged from a struggle I faced last summer and partly answers one of my prayers.
Power of gratitude
How can you express your gift? A great starting point is to appreciate what you already possess. Simply striving often leaves gifted individuals feeling trapped. Attempt to replace striving with gratitude, which can open a pathway for fresh creative inspiration or new opportunities.
Be faithful with little
Numerous individuals possess great talents, yet they often don't utilize them. Regardless of your skill level, remain committed to using your talents with integrity and to the best of your ability. With practice, your skills will improve.
Start small
Avoid fixating on finding large platforms; instead, begin on a smaller scale. Share your talent with those nearby and on any social platform accessible to you. Gradually, your audience will expand.
Find a mentor!
Lastly, look for a mentor! In order to give voice to the creative gifts you possess, you will need to develop various sets of skills. You will need all the help you can get to know how to develop them. Skills are developed by training, learning, and being humble to receive knowledge from someone who can impart to you and help you grow.
I hope this was helpful! May God bless you as you boldly take the next step in giving voice to your creative flow! Be blessed!
“For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” - Ephesians 2:10
