Picture yourself on a journey when the ship's engine suddenly fails. You head to the engine room to attempt a repair, but the problem is that you're not an engineer and have no clue how to proceed. Despite your attempts to fix the engine, all efforts prove futile.
This is precisely what occurs to individuals who begin a spiritual journey or initiate a new ministry on their own. The issue is that they are often accustomed to handling things independently in life and apply this same approach to learning to serve Jesus. They believe they can manage everything alone and do not require assistance from others.
Often, the core problem is an independent nature that struggles to trust God to use others for teaching, correction and guidance. If you feel stuck in your spiritual path or ministry, it's likely due to the absence of mentorship from someone more experienced. Everyone occasionally encounters barriers and requires assistance of more experienced people to overcome them.
You can request the Holy Spirit to examine your heart for any rebellious traits and guide you toward repentance. Seek a transformation of your heart to submit to the authority figures placed in your life. Additionally, ask for assistance in identifying the right mentors appointed by the Holy Spirit to help you progress and move forward.
