Two years ago, I had a dream that mirrored the circumstances faced by myself and a group of people who shared common interests with me. In both the dream and reality, we were experiencing an intense period of learning. Upon reaching the pinnacle of our steep learning curve at the time, we discovered an old, broken children's playground at the top of the hill. This revelation left us disappointed, and a few individuals abandoned the exploratory journey.
During that period, I discovered that spiritual journeys frequently reveal a state of heart's brokenness, where we became disconnected from the experiential identity of being a child of God. The childlike trust in the Father’s provision and protection, along with playfulness and a spirit that delights in exploration, should not be lost as we mature into adults.
Today's message encourages you to revisit painful childhood memories and reconnect with a loving and protective Father. Seek the Holy Spirit's help to explore your heart and childhood memories of brokenness. Request His loving guidance as you navigate through various childhood difficulties. Make sure to journal your memories.
Be sure to forgive those who wronged you back then and ask Jesus for healing and restoration in areas of brokenness. Furthermore, examine if there are any misunderstandings you hold about the Father in heaven, or how you were disobedient to your parents at the time. You can ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth.
Don't stop at this point. Request the Holy Spirit's assistance in mending the harm caused and restoring a sense of playfulness in your heart. Seek His guidance for inspiration on how to achieve this. Perhaps a new hobby is on the horizon.
