We are transitioning into a new season. Transitions are already taking place and many are feeling their effects. If you reflect on your personal life, work, ministry... you will notice some changes taking place. These changes may involve adopting new practices, relocating, changing jobs, or making significant life choices such as marriage or parenthood. New responsibilities are arising, some of which will shape the coming decade, while others may have lifelong implications.

Frequently, shakings happen before changes occur. Expired relationships break before the new ones occur. Sometimes, the loss of beloved family members precedes the arrival of a new chapter within a family. Similarly, before a fresh ministry emerges, the old one must dissolve. It is a normal life cycle that does not have to be hard or tragic.

No matter what changes are about to take place in your life and family, you can season new transitions to have a good taste. You can do that by having the right attitude towards upcoming changes. I find it helpful to invite Jesus into daily shakings and struggles, as well as to invite Him to be at the center of the new things and relationships that are about to emerge.

Shakings and breaking of the old relationships sometimes cause fear, and people feel dizzy looking at the height of the broken bridge. In desperation, people tend to cling to the old, although now broken, relationships and ways of doing life and ministry. If you could just lift your eyes, you would be able to let go and be lifted up to a new thing Jesus is taking you into.

While navigating through the challenges in your personal journey, don't fear the possibility of stumbling or making mistakes. These experiences are essential for your growth and development. What's important is to understand that in times of failure or falling, there are compassionate arms ready to support you. Jesus eagerly awaits to embrace you as you navigate through the changes in your life. Take the leap of faith and confront whatever lies ahead. Confront your fears and obstacles as old connections and opportunities fade away. Remember to infuse your transitions with the presence of Jesus, who will raise you from despair and guide you into a new chapter of your life. Hold on to Jesus, and your transformations will be enriched.

Ponder on:

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build…” - Ecclesiastes 3:1-3
