While painting violas, I had a very unusual experience. Occasionally, when I closed my eyes and thought of certain people, instead of visualizing their faces, my mind envisioned violas. At other times, I dreamed of people with viola-like faces. The entire experience revolved around people's faces resembling violas. This unusual experience inspired me to create the painting “Wise Violas”. If you are looking for a spark of inspiration, today's blog post is for you.

Recently, I woke up reminded of a verse from a famous ancient poem on love, “Love does not boast, it is not proud” (1 Corinthians 13:4). Pondering on it, and a dream I had where people's faces resembled violas, I was fascinated by the connection between violas and human faces, which took me on a journey of inspiration and creating "Wise Violas".

On the world's stage of performance, violas serve as God’s exhibit A of discovering wisdom through humility. Blessed with modest beauty, simplicity, and authenticity, violas shine in sparking cheerfulness.

One of the most endearing features of the viola is the ‘face’. There is something about a flower having a face that means, in our minds, it develops a personality and we can relate to it easily.

Endowed with wisdom, purple violas are open and sharing. You could be one of them, and if so, the poem "Beautiful Viola" might resonate with you:

Beautiful Viola

You don’t have to thrive.

You don’t have to strive.

You are loved exactly the way you are.

The painting features 8 violas, representing new beginnings, while the purple hue signifies royalty and wisdom. If you connect with this child like artwork, you might be undergoing a change and approaching new beginnings. To see it, you must view the world as a child does.

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin...” Zechariah 4:10
